“Dominion” harkens back to the days when we were somewhat attached to the “empire” hip. I rejoice that those days are over.

We remember PM P. Trudeau 'daze' well. It was a time of tension with the Laurentian crowd. Alberta Senator Ernest Manning said it well: “It is the type of thing that creates serious divisions and alienation among Canadians,” Dominion Day said it well.
