Mike, a few links led me to your article on Bill C-5.

"The bill is transferring power from Parliament to the executive. It is giving the executive the power to circumvent rules enacted by Parliament for the purpose of carrying out projects."

PM Carney and the puppeteers pulling trump's strings show a merging of minds in these statements. Hope I'm reading this wrong...

You are reading it wrong, as those words were not spoken by the Prime Minister. When I pulled up the June 17, 2025 evidence from the House of Commons Transport Committee, that statement came directly from an outside witness testifying against the legislation. Professor Maxime St-Hilaire, a constitutional law scholar from the Université de Sherbrooke, delivered that warning to challenge the transfer of statutory authority to cabinet. The quote documents an expert critique of executive overreach, not a policy declaration from the bill's sponsors.
